Festival of Faith

June 3,2000

The Festival of Faith will be held at Rand Park.

Many booths, music and a great time of worship and praise.

	*Keosippi Metric Century Bike Ride*
		June 10, 2000 Beginning at Rand Park, the ride will mainly be flat to rolling routes through rural areas and small towns. Well paved but lightly travelled roads. 63 or 36 miles. The last 13 miles will be along the Mississippi River via the Great River Road. Sponsored by the Keokuk Bike Club

	*Keokuk Garden Tour*
		June 17, 2000 Five to six homes in the area show their private gardening space and encourage others to beautify homes with flowers. (Rain date- June 24th). Sponsored by the Keokuk Garden Club

	*Day in Rand Park with Fireworks Display*
		July 4, 2000 Spend the day in Rand Park with scheduled activities followed by the 4th of July Fireworks Display in the evening.

	*Lee County Fair*
		July 6-9, 2000 Enjoy four days of the Lee County Fair located in Donnellson, IA. Carnival, food, car races, demolition derby, 4-H exhibits, livestock judging.

	International Liaison Plane Convention
		July 21-23, 2000 This is an annual convention of Veteran pilots a liaison aircraft used in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. Pilots who have restored these planes fly in. All warbirds are welcome. Open to public Held at Lindner Aviation 2500 340 St. Keokuk, IA 52632 Call (319) 524-3753

		*Sweet Corn Festival*
		August 10-13, 2000 This four day event is held in West Point, IA (approx. 7 miles northeast of Keokuk). Free sweet corn and entertainment. Booths of all kinds.

		*Rollin' On The River Blues Festival*
		August 18 & 19, 2000 Blues festival held at Victory Park, down by the water front. Music and food.

		*Montrose Watermelon Festival*
		August 24-26, 2000 Annual Watermelon Festival held in Montrose, IA (approx. 7 miles northeast of Keokuk). Free watermelon and entertainment. Food, crafts carnival rides. Watermelon Parade Saturday morning. Town-wide garage sales.

		Labor Day Parade

September 4, 2000

Come and watch the pageant of floats, marching bands and classic cars on
Keokuk's Main St.

Apple Daze

September 16. 2000

Pancake breakfast, parade, contest, pork lunch and games for the entire family.

Held in Donnellson, IA

Historic Home Tour

September 24, 2000

Tour of historic homes and buildings.

Sponsored by the Keokuk Historical Preservation Commission

Garden Club Bazaar

October 28, 2000

Items such as plants, vegetables, baked goods and crafts will be sold for the Keokuk
Garden Club's fundraiser event.
